Our mission

Event Incubator exists to provide education, resources, and opportunities to new event producers and professionals.

The best way to learn this work is to do it. So we put people on real shows, with real crowds and real deadlines, and we back the organizers who are building something new. We are not an event company for hire. We exist to grow the people who make events happen.

Four ways in.

01

Volunteer

Learn by doing. Crew a real show and leave with experience, portfolio pieces, and people who will vouch for you.

Door 01

Volunteer. Get real stage time.

Every show needs a crew, and every crew member leaves knowing more than when they walked in. Volunteers work alongside experienced producers on events Gainesville actually shows up for.

  • Hands-on experience you can put on a résumé
  • Portfolio pieces from real productions
  • Networking with producers, venues, and vendors
  • Training in the roles that keep a show running

What would you like to do?

We'll email you when the next volunteer opportunity opens. We never share your information.

Door 02

Producing your own event? We've got your back.

Event Incubator supports organizing teams who are building their own events. We don't bid on jobs or sell production services. We help you do it yourself, and do it well.

  • Training in how events actually get made
  • Marketing and sponsor leads to fill the room and fund the show
  • Equipment, skilled labor, and resources when you need them
  • A business home for sponsors and partners to send invoices and payments

We're also working to add direct financial support for new events.

Door 03

Sponsor or donate.

Every dollar goes back into the mission: training, equipment, and the programs that give new producers their first real shows. Sponsors get their name in front of the people building Gainesville's next events.

Event Incubator Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-3586545). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Become a sponsor

Sponsorships are built around what you want to support: a specific event, a training program, or the volunteer crew. Tell us what matters to you and we'll put together options.
